And never forget this little Gem either, we just went through an unprecedented length of time — almost 12 years — without a major hurricane (Cat 3 or stronger) making landfall in the U.S. And here is something else you might not realize as cool air pushes down from the Arctic it collides with warm air out at sea. It stands to reason that this one and the one that is hitting America this week is stronger because the air from the Arctic is far cooler than its been since the 1900/ 1970 and BOOM there you have it its not warming up but is actualy cooling
