I doubt it will be the Germans that will bust the EU. More like Italy who are in the mood to just tell the EU to stick the EU up its own arse because of the lack of help from them during their virus lockdown. They eventually gave them the help and then bragged about it problem was the help they gave them was a few Romanian doctors and Austria offered to send 3.000 gallons of disinfectant Norway gave the most help sending doctors and nurses. Problem is Norway is not in the Union but that did not stop the EU taking credit.

No, it won't be the Germans it will be the UK and Italy. They have already lost billions and seen their precious economy go down the pan last January as it was like 18 EU countrys leaving when we left last Jan. After Germany and France Italy has the most robust economy, they leave and it's kaput for the EU.

Lasts week the German EU Ursula von der Leyen hit back at Germany

Full statement by EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, 10 May 2020

“The recent ruling of the German Constitutional Court put under the spotlight two issues of the European Union: the Euro system and the European legal system.

“We take good note of the clear statement of the European Court of Justice of 8 May.

“In the same vein, the European Commission upholds three basic principles: that the Union’s monetary policy is a matter of exclusive competence; that EU law has primacy over national law and that rulings of the European Court of Justice are binding on all national courts.

“The final word on EU law is always spoken in Luxembourg. Nowhere else.

“The European Commission’s task is to safeguard the proper functioning of the Euro system and the Union’s legal system.

“We are now analysing the ruling of the German Constitutional Court in detail. And we will look into possible next steps, which may include the option of infringement proceedings.

“The European Union is a community of values and of law, which must be

upheld and defended at all times. This is what keeps us together. This is what we stand for.”

Germany out of all EU countrys gains the most from the EU. If you look who the EUs brainchild it was and who its foundling fathers were and I have, then you begin to realize every country in the EU is now a colony of Germany.

The ones who thought about a United Europe were Nazis, I am not sure if it was Hitler’s dream but it definitely was the Nazi bankers dream and there are many speeches made by the likes of Joachim von Ribbentrop, Joseph Goebbels with this in mind. Everything you see now with the EU one currency, the single market was not something they came up with recently, everything was well thought out in July 1940

Reich Chancery memorandum:
“Organization of the German Economy”

On 22 June 1940 Göring as Plenipotentiary for the Four-Year Plan issued an order on ‘the organization of the German economy after the conclusion of the military conflict’.

As a result, the Reich Chancery produced the following memorandum for Reich Minister Hans Heinrich Lammers, which was used on 22 July 1940 as the basis for a conference of departmental heads chaired by Funk, Reich Minister of Economics.

The large-scale economic unification of Europe can be achieved in various ways. States which economically complement Germany or resemble it in economic structure can largely be unified with it. This is especially true of the Scandinavian countries and the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxemburg. With other states, the ties will be less close.

Such a central European economic community under German leadership will require a solution of the following problems among others:

  1. The central European currencies must be placed on a uniform basis by establishing a fixed rate of exchange between those of the other countries and the Reichsmark.
  2. Customs barriers in central Europe must be abolished. Damage to individual industries can be avoided by the conclusion of quota, price and sales agreements among economic groups in the respective countries. In the same way, agriculture could be protected by measures to be adopted by Reich agencies and their counterparts in the other countries concerned.

The following are the principal general advantages of an economic community:

  1. The possibility of rational production and of concentrating the most efficient concerns in the most favorable sites, eliminating inefficient plant and doing away with the uneconomic movement of goods.
  2. Removing payments difficulties.
  3. Enlarging the customs-free marketing area.
  4. Increased leverage in trade negotiations and relations with other countries.

Such a central European union would give a powerful impetus to the European economy. Admittedly it would not confer autarky upon Europe: there would still be a need for various raw materials, e.g. rubber, important non-ferrous metals, hides and skins, textile raw materials, foodstuffs, and fodder. The deficiencies could be made good either from colonies or by trading with other large economic areas.

As far as numbers are concerned, a central European economic bloc including those of Germany’s neighbours that are envisaged for the purpose would comprise a much larger population than the United States‘ 130 million.

Its why I am so against the EU and Remainers and will be until the day I die.

What is life without a little controversy in it? Quite boring and sterile would be my answer.
