It wont be long before the Warmegedinists will be out in force tweeting Facebooking and blogging that what we have seen in Texas is the result of Global warming and blaming everything that we have seen all the flooding all the misery of people being made homeless in Texas on President Trump pulling the US out of the Paris climate agreement. Trust me as I write this there will be many Warmegedinists writing the opposite of what I am writing.
The Hurricane Harvey that hit Texas was no doubt one of the worst America has seen since records began but it is not the worse one 1935 was just as bad. In fact, one could say it was worse because as it stands the height of the water in Buffalo Bayou in Houston is 38 feet, quite high you might think until you realize that the height in 1935 was 54.4 feet.
And here is one other fact that the Warmegedinists won't tell you, the U.S. has had only four Category 4 (or stronger) hurricane strikes since 1970. However, in the same number of years preceding 1970, there were 14 strikes. Going back even earlier, a Category 4 hurricane struck Galveston in 1900, killing between 6,000 and 12,000 people. That was the greatest natural disaster in U.S. history. And never forget this little Gem either, we just went through an unprecedented length of time — almost 12 years — without a major hurricane (Cat 3 or stronger) making landfall in the U.S.
Climate always changes it always has.
