He has not been chosen yet and nor should he be chosen.

Today I offer you a few reasons why Tugendhat should never be the Leader of the Conservatives in the UK

These little-known facts about Mr Tugendhat have the potential to significantly impact his ability to lead his party and become Prime Minister. Both his fellow MPs and the British public must understand the seriousness of these issues.

Please take note of the following details about Mr. Tugendhat.

1. He holds dual British-French nationality due to his mother being French and his wife holding senior positions in the French government.

2. His wife has had significant roles as a legal & political adviser to the French Ambassador in London from 2018 to 2022, providing advice on Brexit, and as a legal adviser to the French Foreign Secretary from 2022 to 2024.

3. Furthermore, Mr. Tugendhat is the nephew of a former Vice President of the EU Commission.

Considering these connections, it is argued that there are conflicts of interest, raising questions about his suitability for certain positions in Government if he is chosen to lead the country as he potentially could be the Next Prime Minister.

As for Brexit:
1. Supported the Remain campaign

2. Previously part of the ‘Brexit Delivery Group’ of MPs, advocating for the opposing viewpoint

3. Consistently voted in favour of Theresa May’s controversial Brexit deal

Tugendhat also proposed the ‘Advocated centralising the Foreign Office’ saying it should include

Department for International Trade.

Department for International Development.

Department for Exiting the European Union.

Ministry of Defence.

It’s worth noting that the Foreign Office is predominantly composed of Remainer-Rejoiners. Additionally, the individual attends the secretive Bilderberg meetings.

Before embarking on his political career, Tugendhat gained valuable experience as a journalist and PR consultant.

He also dedicated time to volunteering in the Army Reserve

Notably, Tugendhat openly advocated for the appointment of Prince Harry as the UK Ambassador to the US.

It’s important to note that the Foreign Office consists mostly of individuals who support remaining in or rejoining the European Union. Additionally.

Tugendhat has attended the secretive Bilderberg meetings.

Mr Tugendhat is widely known as a friendly and astute individual. He will likely emphasize his extensive service in the Army Volunteer Reserve as a testament to his loyalty to his country.

However, the issue arises from the fact that despite his other commendable qualities, he holds both French and British nationalities. This has led to concerns, as the well-known saying “a man can’t serve two masters” is brought to mind. As a result, it is inconceivable to many within the British public that an individual with official French status could be considered a potential Prime Minister.

Please remember the following information:

Mr Tugendhat’s family connections raise some difficult questions. His wife, Anissia Morel, is a French national who worked for the French government in senior positions during the critical years after the Referendum. She served as an adviser to the French Ambassador in London in 2018, covering the UK’s exit negotiations, the Transition Period, the UK’s exit, and post-Brexit difficulties. Subsequently, she became an adviser to the French Foreign Minister in 2022, focusing on the UK’s repeated attempts to negotiate with the French over illegal migrants crossing the Channel.

I want to be clear that I am not making any suggestions of impropriety or disloyalty by Mr. Tugendhat. However, it is important to note that he holds both French and British nationality and is married to someone who has been working for the French government for several years.

Furthermore, Mr Tugendhat’s family has deep connections to the EU and the UK’s EU membership. He is the nephew of a former Vice President of the EU Commission, Lord Tugendhat. Given his family connections, it’s understandable that Tom Tugendhat strongly campaigned for the UK to remain in the EU in 2016.

Despite his numerous television interviews, Mr Tugendhat still needs to address the above information. Readers and the public have the right to know these details.

I am deeply distrustful of him. He ran once before and my own MP who had told me he had voted for Brexit very quickly supported him.

I asked myself one very simple question.

Knowing that Tugendhat supports Rejoining why would anyone support him if they had voted to leave the EU?

Here is Tom on X saying

People want their leaders to be straight with them. No games. No gimmicks. This is why I’m running to be Leader of the Conservative Party.

You will notice when you watch it he never once mentions his French connections or his EU connections.

“Ask yourselves if he is being truthful with you. No games, no gimmicks.”

What is life without a little controversy in it? Quite boring and sterile would be my answer.
